Faith for Our Planet Workshop: Faith Actors Identify Roles to Address Climate Change
November 2022
On Monday, November 28, the Network participated in the Faith for Our Planet second workshop in the United Kingdom, inviting faith and community leaders from around the region in collaboration with Lord Mayor, and Councillor Hamza Taouzzale’s office in London. The objective of the workshop was to empower faith and community leaders to be agents against climate emergencies and to provide them with training opportunities to go back to their communities equipped with how to mobilize them to create change in the climate space. This approach aims to bridge the divide between the faith and scientific communities.
The Network was represented by Network Member A Common Word Among Youth (ACWAY)’s Dr. Sneha Roy, who focused on creating partnerships for digital advocacy and outreach between faith leaders and youth of faith.
The Network will also be participating in the Faith for Our Planet Youth Fellowship, upcoming in January at Duke University.
