The Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers was initiated in 2013 as a response to the growing awareness among peace mediation organization and the United Nations, that religious and traditional authorities are vital, but underutilized, actors in peacemaking processes. The Network Secretariat leads in implementing the Network strategy through its support for all Network activities.

The Peacemakers Network is looking for a UN Representative and Coordinator in representing the Peacemakers Network at interagency and intergovernmental discussions at the United Nations within areas of religion, women and youth peace and security.
