On 13 January, over 80 Members and Supporters from around the world gathered at the Network’s virtual Advisory Group Meeting for reflection, dialogue, and networking in order to strengthen our collaborative efforts in 2021. Participants engaged in small group discussions to reflect and learn from each other’s experiences and work to rebuild and recover from the global pandemic, while continuing efforts to promote peaceful and inclusive societies.
On behalf of the Network Steering Group, Dr. Azza Karam, Secretary General of Religions for Peace, opened the meeting with a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration and cooperation between institutions and civil society. This collaboration is essential to strengthen the capacity of existing inter-religious structures and to realize the potential of religion as a force for peace and social cohesion.
