The Network places special emphasis on identifying and evolving thematic and geographic focuses to more effectively support the engagement of religious and traditional peacemakers in inclusive peace and peacebuilding processes. The Network follows global to regional trends and anticipated scenarios in order to address and answer timely needs of both local and international actors.

The Network develops its thematic expertise in preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) through in-depth research that focuses on creating context sensitive and context specific knowledge based on primary sources. To add to this, the Network brings together relevant actors for the collaborative planning of effective models and modes of actions based on the knowledge gathered through research.
